Yada Yada Yada....

Two months? So what's up with that? Some people - yes, I have been a bad blogger but a busy Mom. Keeping everything going gets interesting at times as you all know. The camera situation is now over - I purchased the same re-furbished model at a fair price from Canon after a bit of frustration and a letter to the president of the company. I really do like their camera. So Anyway, Marlin has his tractors all put away for the winter. Blankets are covering ones that could possibly come in the path of wood for the stove - don't even want to "go there". A few are in the mini shed and he has made some room for a project - not sure what it is but I am sure there is one on the bench. Oh, did I mention that I think the Phillies mascot should ride a Wheel Horse - after all they are the right colors and Phillies get it - I know groan.... Perhaps tonight they will clinch the series! Back to the Wheel Horses ~ I have dug into the files and picked a few random pictures from the show in June - 4 months ago already! Not sure who is who (well a couple I know) but hope you find something to look at here.

We are due for a blast of cold this afternoon and the next few days so will be bringing in another load of wood (yes, careful not to get close to the sleeping horses). Hope you all have a great week. Will post in a more timely fashion.

Pictures from Chambersburg Show

So, this will prove that the memory card in a camera is still good even if the camera isn't..... Our son had a big whoops with my camera in the OUTHOUSE - think the worse senerio and you would be correct - somehow he fished the case (camera inside) out of the toliet dripping blue and who knows what else... I wanted to cry (camera was a few months old) I attempted to disinfect/wash the best I could. Needless to say he felt horrible but what is done is done. I felt so bad for him - he was just horrified... Anyway, life goes on and the camera card still works - here's the proof :-)

A few pictures too of the "confetti" amongst the horses - they get to come to this show too since it is local - perfect weekend weatherwise anyway - hope you are enjoying the last days of summer - our boys start school Monday - I am not ready for the summer to end but am ready for the normal routine to set in... Take care ~

Getting ready for the local show ~

Well, sounds like we will be blessed with a fantastic weather weekend here in Pennsylvania! This weekend is the Cumberland Valley Antique Engine & Machinery (http://www.cvaema.org/index.htm) show in Chambersburg. High Friday to be 79, Saturday to be only 77 and another 79 on Sunday - not bad at all for August! Today the kids and I had a pleasant surprise the Goodyear Blimp flew just overhead. I saw this many time growing up in Canton, Oh but sure don't see if often here - kids were waving and jumping up and down - just fun stuff.... Since last post we were back home for some of the Football Hall of Fame festivities - great week if you ever have chance to attend. Lots going on and gets bigger each year. Amazing how it has grown. Canton should be proud of the reception they give all the enshrinees and their families. Well done to all who make it happen!

Gotta get in a few pictures from the Annual Wheel Horse show every time too so here ya go ~

Marlin has the flag he won ready to put on back of one of the tractors so that will be in a picture here soon.... About covers it for the local weather report and a peek at some more of the show pictures. Take care all ~ Lisa

Haul from show and a few views from the "Red Sea"

Well, didn't come home with a new horse :-( but did manage somehow to have Marlin's name drawn a few times. The living room wall has been ruled out but will find somewhere to put the big sign. The banner will have it's own flag pole one of these days.

Some views from the "Red" Sea - things certainly have quieted down since the
show - still on the lookout for new horses.

July is moving on out - summer will be over before you know it!
Take care and keep the horses tended....

The roundup has begun....

The weather is perfect - what a blessing! Marlin and the boys are busy with last minute details for the show. Plan is to head out early tomorrow morning. Meeting the brothers for breakfast then onto the show grounds. The newest one to have a makeover is Marlin's 58RJ. Picture of her first bath below.... She really sparkles now - can't believe it is the same tractor.

Hope everyone has safe travel and that the picture perfect weather continues for the weekend. I will be over to take pictures to blog about for awhile so look for yourself sometime in the future here.
Take care!
