Happy Leap Day and B 60 Day -

Hey, ya gotta celebrate something or make up something to celebrate.... Thought I would give you a site to check out with great information and reading for Wheel Horse enthusiasts called Red Square - http://whtractor.15.forumer.com/index.php Plenty of great information if you haven't visted there yet. Free to join or just can lurk and read info or view pictures. Speaking of pictures I was checking and see that I haven't "featured" my brother-in-law, Mark's B60. Well, today is the day!
...

....

......

Well, I it is still cold here - no surprise -guess I best get a fire going in the wood stove as the heat pump just isn't cutting it today. Hope you all enjoy the weekend and check back to see what I come up with for next week. If you want automatic emailed updates just fill in the info a little further up on the left hand side of the blog and you will get an update when I post. Later all! ~ Lisa ~

Friday tidbits....

Well, I added a new widget - not sure I understand what they are but I know what it is to do. At the side you should see a place to subscribe if you want to receive an email when the site is updated. I don't have regular days I add info so if you are interested go ahead and subscribe.

Our boys are off school again today! I do enjoy the snow days as long as they are on my terms - wood in for the fire, all safe, electric and cable working, food in - bit spoiled shall I say. Anyway, it is good to be home with my blessings.

May as well add a few more pictures from the show - best way to see "horses" in action.

That's it for now. Stay safe! ~ Lisa ~

A few from Marlin's collection

About time I put in some of Marlin's Wheel Horses. Just showing his Raider 10 here now as well as a glimpse of what he is working on in the shed.

Here is the 58RJ that is in the process of being restored. Yes, I know he needs a bigger work area and hopefully he will have it some day. Just not right now.... The LMR30 is pictured as well that goes on the RJ. Haven't seen many of these online anyway. Anyone that has one or knows of someone with one please drop us a line at wheelhorse@comcast.net . Plan is to have this done for the annual show in June. Speaking of the Wheel Horse Show - we did read that the '500' Special will be the featured tractor this year and they will be raffling off one at the show.

Well, that is it for today. Hope you are enjoying see some of the goings on around here.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

Just received the following note from the author via one of the message boards ~

"I just wanted to give an update on my new Wheel Horse book. I have finally finished the book and will be going to print next week. The debut of the new book will be at the show this June in Pa. Both Cecil Pond and I will be there signing the books. This 2nd limited edition is not just a reprint of the first edition. It is greatly expanded with much, much more information, stories, photos, documents, etc. There is even a huge expanded section on the Indy 2 1/2 events. Having said all that, another amazing part of the new book is an audio CD (included) featuring Cecil Pond reading the forward to the book. This professional quality recording will preserve Mr. Pond's voice for many generations to follow. I am very proud of this 2nd. edition. I know that you will all enjoy it even more than the first edition."

With Great Pride,

Mike Martino

How's that for news! See you all in line at the show! Start saving - need to get one for each of our boys as well as Marlin.

Marvin's Turn

Marvin is the owner of the "cover-girl" of the bunch! His tractor graced the front of Farm Collector Magazine in 2005. There was a terrific article on the Wheel Horse Show and the pride of collecting - http://www.farmcollector.com/articles/miscellaneous/horse-of-a-different-color-2005-12-01.html if you would like to take a few minutes it is worth the read! These are some of the pictures of Marvin's 1045.

Fastforward to this past Saturday ~ Marlin went over to his brother Marvin's to check out what was happening in the shop. Having armed him with a camera we finally have some sneak peaks to show.... Quite a combination ~ anxious to see the end result!

Will have to get further into the files and see what other pictures I have to share. ~ Later ~
